Jillian Steen M.A CCC-SLP
Hello!
I am the owner of Grace Speech Therapy Services LLC. I have a passion for treating Speech, Language, and Auditory Processing Disorders and navigating through the challenges of a communication disorder. I am certified in LSVT LOUD, Beckman Oral Motor, and have a passion for continuing to learn. I worked full time in a Skilled Nursing Facility since 2018. It was there that gained experience and exposure to a variety of speech and language disorders. I recently became certified through the Orton Gillingham Sonday Training to provide Orton Gillingham therapy.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, working out, and reading. My favorite thing to do is to support my friends endeavors! You can find me at their art shows, coffee shop concerts, and plays/musicals.

Reading Specialist
As an Orton Gillingham Reading Specialist, I am passionate about helping students with language-based learning differences, specifically dyslexia. I believe that learning should be engaging and specific to each individual. Patience, compassion and enthusiasm are the foundation in my approach to supporting my students. I am determined to build students’ confidence by helping them learn to read, write and spell. I believe that every student will succeed with the proper individualized instruction and an educator who truly cares.
Before OG, I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Strategic Communications and Early Childhood Education from the University of Kansas in 2018. Throughout my undergrad, I worked as a nanny for 10 years and loved nurturing children as they grew through each developmental stage. Additionally, I was a Substitute Teacher in a Montissori school and a Personal Care Attendant where I gained experience with many learning differences such as Dyslexia, ADHD/ADD, OCD, Anxiety disorder, and many others.
I am a lifelong learner and continuously stay up to date on the newest research and teaching techniques to provide students with the highest quality education.
